Just as the stars are absent in the daytime, so to in daylight a Cosmic Window has the appearance of an simple cloudy, blue summer sky.
However, its in the dark of night when the real stars come out that a Cosmic Window can be magically transformed into a stunning vision of luminous, deep-space nebulae. The very place where the stars themselves are born.

Please remember: These artworks are not mass-produced, they not made in China and they not available elsewhere. As with all original artworks, availability will be limited by the output of the artist and there may be times when there will be no pieces available. The artist has assured us however, he will create more pieces in due time.
Your questions answered
Yes. As well as visible light, Stars shine brightly with Invisible Ultraviolet Light (UV) and it is this invisible UV light that nourishes and gives renewed life to the ‘Stardust’ encased within the artwork itself.
Turning on your bed side lamp for 20 minutes or so before going to sleep should be sufficient to chare a Cosmic Window. However, many modern LED bulbs provide little in the way of the essential UV energy the artwork needs to recharge itself.
If you find this is the case for you, use a UV Keylite, UV Torch or UV Lamp to charge the Artwork. A few seconds will probably be sufficient. There are no rules, charge for as long or as often as you like.
The result will be well worth it, you’ll see :-0)
When a Cosmic Window is exposed to bright daylight, it would be fully charged in a matter of seconds. If it were then taken into a dark area, you would see it glow brightly.
However, if you relied on daylight alone to charge-up your artwork, then by the time day finally turns to the dark of night (roughly 2-3 hours), the artwork would have all but depleted its ‘energy reserves’ and would only produce a dim glow at best. This is why you should not rely solely on daylight to charge your Cosmic Window.
When fully charged with UV light, it should glow all night long. Nice and bright at first, then slowly becoming dimmer; gradually diminishing throughout the night. You can boost it at any time with a UV light if you prefer a brighter glow.

Your authentic ‘Cosmic Window’ Artwork should be treated with care and consideration to ensure a long life. Treat it as you would a delicate ornament or cherished painting.
Whilst this artwork is not a toy it will be immensely appealing to children of all ages (glow in the dark stuff always is). However we recommend that it should not be supplied to children under 6 years.
For older children, the artwork itself is of course completely safe, however the UV light supplied is not suitable for unsupervised use by young children.
Please charge the artwork for your child and do not leave the torch / charger in their possession.
