A simple surface preparation and bonding pack for Starglow Powder Coatings.
A simple surface preparation starter pack for small powder-bonding projects and one-offs. Includes a 30ml jar of STARGLOW Powder Bond, an Isopropanol surface wipe, a sheet of ultra-fine sandpaper, a small application brush and a small detail brush.
Note: This is a application pack only and there is no powder supplied with this pack. Powder is purchased separately.
Provides a clear, quick-drying, waterproof, multi-surface bond for Starglow Powder Coatings. A very thin even coating is applied by brush, roller, sponge, airbrush or spray gun, then whilst still wet, apply a full and even coating of Starglow Powder and allow to dry for 1 hour. Brushes wash out in water.

Instructions
How to apply powder coatings
Whilst Starglow Custom FX powders / powder bond should work on most non-porous / primed surfaces such as glass, metal, wood, plastic, finished leather as well as most suitable fabrics.
Always test a discreet area to ensure the surface and powder bond are compatible.
- Prepare the surface to be coated by cleaning with the isopropanol wipe to remove all traces of dust, dirt, grease, oils and wax etc.
- For finished leather and other shiny surfaces, gently rub with ultra-fine sandpaper to remove the surface shine and create a key for the powder bond.
- Apply a THIN and EVEN coating of Starglow Powder Bond to the surface.
- Whilst the Powder Bond is still wet, dust-coat with the powder until the surface is fully and evenly covered.
- Leave to dry for 1 hour then tap away the excess powder to be re-used.
- If required, a second coat may be applied after 8 hours curing.
Tips:
- Surfaces must be completely dry before applying powder bond.
- When dust-coating, do so over a sheet of paper so the excess powder may be reclaimed and stored for future re-use.
- Some plastic or pre-painted surfaces may be incompatible with a water-based coating. Please test for compatibility.

UK Delivery options
Standard Delivery is a flat rate delivery charge using Royal Mail’s 1st Class Parcel Post.
Special-Delivery (small parcels) and UK Courier (larger/heavier parcels) will provide a swift next day delivery from the day of dispatch and NOT from the date of order.
Note: We do not to offer a specific ‘Next Day Delivery’ option as we cannot realistically guarantee such a service, especially in the current climate.
If you require a recorded / tracked delivery, please select either the Express Delivery or Courier Delivery option at checkout.
EU & International Orders
As of July 1st 2021 there are new EU rules on how VAT is charged for online / web orders. As a result, orders originating from any EU country below a net value of 150 Euros / £135 will now have VAT added at the prevailing rate of that country. We therefore have a £136 Minimum Order Value for Private (Non-Business) EU orders.
NOTE: Whilst we will not add VAT to your order, VAT and Customs charges will be payable once the goods have arrived in your country.
EU Businesses with a verifiable VAT and EORI number will not be affected by this change and may contact us directly if they need to place an order below £136 net, however, we do have a standard £50 net Minimum Order Value for ALL EU and International orders.
We will only ship EU and International orders at the Buyers risk. Once the goods are handed over to the courier they become the buyers property and responsibility.
For reasons of security and speed, we only ship EU and International orders via Express Courier. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout.
