UV Fluorescent Rodent Tracking Powder to help identify rodent entry-points and rat-runs.

Having rats or mice in your home or workplace is not good.  But how do you identify how and where they gain entry and how and where they move around once inside?

TRACKARAT™ Powder helps you do just this. Place small amounts of powder around suspected entry points and suspected rat-runs. If rodents use these places, their tiny foot-prints and tail smears will be revealed in the bright yellow fluorescent dust.

Being bright yellow means the evidence is visible in the daytime / normal light.

Being fluorescent means it will shine brightly under UV blacklight. Perfect for those darker areas or when tracking movements at night;  locating those small easy-to-miss traces not easy to see!

TrackaRat Powder suitable to be used in baiting stations to determine if rodents have visited them (or not).

When no longer required the powder may cleaned away using normal cleaning practice and vacuuming.

Instructions

How to use TRACKARAT UV tracking powder:

Identify suspected rodent activity areas, sprinkle a thin layer of the powder in those spots, and then use a UV light to see the fluorescent trails left behind by rodents as they walk through the powder.

This allows you to pinpoint their movement patterns and strategically place traps or bait based on the visible trails; always clean up the powder residue after use.

Key steps:
  • Identify rodent activity:

    Look for signs like droppings, gnaw marks, or entry points to determine where to apply the powder. 

  • Applying the powder:

    Use a small amount of the powder to form a strip across or around  in the suspected areas, like along baseboards, corners, or around potential entry /exit points.  Be sure to completely enclose any entry point so the rodent would have to pass-through the ‘powder boundary’ and therefore begin the tracking / tracing process. Bear in mind, it may take a day or two for the rodents to return and leave tracks for you to see.

  • Monitor with UV light:

    After leaving the powder overnight, use a UV Forensic Torch to examine the area and observe the glowing trails left by rodents.

  • Place traps or bait:

    Based on the visible tracks, strategically position traps or bait stations where rodent activity is most concentrated. 

  • Clean up:
    Powder can be easily cleaned after use using normal cleaning agents and vacuuming as required.
Important points to remember:
  • Safety precautions:  Wear gloves when handling the powder and avoid contact with eyes.
  • Cleaning considerations:  Only use UV tracking powder in areas where residue can be easily cleaned.

UK Delivery options

Standard Delivery is a flat rate delivery charge using Royal Mail’s 1st Class Parcel Post.

Special-Delivery (small parcels) and UK Courier (larger/heavier parcels) will provide a swift next day delivery from the day of dispatch and NOT from the date of order.

Note: We do not to offer a specific ‘Next Day Delivery’ option as we cannot realistically guarantee such a service, especially in the current climate.

If you require a recorded / tracked delivery, please select either the Express Delivery or Courier Delivery option at checkout.

EU & International Orders

Owing to the higher cost or processing and shipping EU and International orders we have a £50 Minimum Order Value (MOV) for VAT Exempt Business orders.

However, due to new EU VAT rules, private (B2C) orders have a £135 Minimum Order Value.  Please Note:  Whilst we will not add VAT to your order, VAT will be payable once the goods have arrived in your country.

Business Orders destined for the EU will require a Company Name, VAT Number and EORI Number for customs clearance.

We will only ship EU and International orders at the Buyers risk. Once the goods are handed over to the courier they become the buyers property and responsibility.

For reasons of security and speed, we only ship EU and International orders via Express Courier.  Delivery charges are calculated at checkout.
