How to SmartMark
Make SmartMarks with meaning. For example, a simple short line could indicate that the item has been marked by someone for some reason. However, unless the person who made the mark actually views it (and hopefully remembers why!) the significance of the mark may potentially be lost!
Compare that with a 3, 4 or 5 digit alpha-numeric based SHORT CODE, which could reference a record / database entry with information pertaining to an item’s production history, life cycle and ownership etc (in much the same way a vehicle registration number reveals a vehicle’s details and ownership history).
UV SmartMarks could be one of the following types:
SIMPLE: Nondescript mark with no more meaning than its mere presence.
SYMBOLIC: Using one of a thousand different symbols (or a combination thereof)
you could easily identify ‘who’ made the mark and perhaps ‘where’ the item originated etc.
OWNER: Obvious statement of ownership such as a company name, postcode or website etc.
SHORT CODE: Short alpha-numeric code referencing further information on file or a database.

Important Info
If you are unsure of how this product or its suitability for your purpose, please email or call to discuss first and / or order a sample to try.
SmartMarks have a colour-neutral / opaque appearance on a non-UV sensitive white or near white background under normal lighting conditions. On shiny or polished surfaces, the matt finish may also become visible / apparent from certain viewing angles.
Please note: Its the colour that’s invisible, not the mark.
SmartMarks will fade from prolonged exposure to direct Sunlight and thus not suitable for long-term outdoor use. Therefore DO NOT expose to direct sunlight.
For best results, apply over a white / light surface. Darker background colours may diminish the glow!
Please Note: Some plastics and oil/spirit painted surfaces may reject this waterbased coating.
This product is NOT suitable for use on hair or skin.
Do not allow children to use this product unsupervised.
For best results use within 12 months of receipt.
Before adopting commercially, prospective users of our products are advised to firstly purchase a sample in order to fully evaluate the product’s suitability for purpose.
